Commissions:

For inquiries on commissioning artwork not related to pet portraits, please contact me
here.

My pet portraits are created in a realistic style, using the highest quality materials and paper.

I have a waitlist which is managed on a first-come/first-served basis so it may take anywhere from a week to 6 months before I start working on your commissioned portrait. To secure your spot on my waiting list, I require a high quality headshot of your pet that meets my requirements (listed below) and a non-refundable €30 deposit to be paid after your photos have been approved. The €30 deposit will go towards your portrait. The remaining balance and shipping fees will be invoiced before the portrait ships out. Please read my FAQs for more information on payment, shipping fees, returns, and other terms & conditions.

Below is a step-by-step guide to commissioning your very own bespoke pet portrait.

The process:

Step 1: Decide on the medium and size for the portrait.

My prices depend on the size and number of pets. You can also choose between color and black&white portraits. Please pick your size option and your medium (watercolor for color portraits or graphite pencils for black&white portraits) on the price list page.

Don't hesitate to contact me with questions and custom requests such as bigger size, multiple pets on one page, etc.

Step 2: Select a photo.

Each portrait is hand-drawn or hand-painted with reference to your photograph so selecting the right photograph for the portrait is vital. It doesn’t matter if you’re using your phone or a professional DSLR; however, the quality of the photo is very important to ensure I can capture the likeness of your pet and create a one-of-a-kind piece that will be treasured for years to come. I’ve put together a mini guide to help you choose the best photograph for your commissioned portrait:

Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you’re struggling to choose a reference photo: I am always happy to help!

Step 3: Get in touch.

Once you have decided on the size of your portrait, as well as your preferred medium (watercolor or graphite), and you have gathered all of your photos, please get in touch with me via my contact form to discuss your commission. I’m looking forward to hearing from you!

Step 4: Pay to secure your booking.

Once your photos have been approved, a non-refundable €30 deposit is required to secure your spot on my waiting list. The €30 deposit will go towards your portrait. The remaining balance, as well as shipping fees, are due before the painting ships out.

Step 5: Process and completion.

At the time of booking, I will provide an estimated completion date. Then, I will send you a message to let you know that I’ve started working on your portrait. I will stay in touch to update you on my progress. Once the artwork is complete, I will email you a photo of the finished portrait for your final approval in order to ensure your full satisfaction.

Step 6: Packing, remaining payment, and delivery.

Once you’re happy with your commissioned pet portrait, you will receive an invoice that reflects the remaining payment and shipping fees. After receiving the final payment, the artwork will be placed in a polypropylene bag with its signed Certificate of Authenticity, and shipped flat with a layer of bubble wrap for extra protection.
