This painting was juried and accepted into the 28th Annual Juried Watercolor Exhibition in Montgermont, France. ‘Mamie’ is the French word for ‘granny’. This painting celebrates and honors grandmas everywhere. For our grandmothers, food is a beautiful gift to be cherished and shared with those they love, and many of us have strong memories of favorite dishes our grandmothers have cooked for us. In our family, Mamie’s potato dishes are absolutely legendary: French fries, roasted potatoes, gratin dauphinois… they’re so good, my husband and I can’t stop fighting over them!
